Sunday Services

Everyone is welcome…

9.15am, 11.15am (repeat) and at 6pm
at the Addison Centre in Kempston.

If you have not been along to Grace before, our various Sunday Services are a great place to start.

We are an ordinary, friendly bunch of people doing our best to live out our faith. Our meetings are welcoming and informal for all ages and backgrounds to make friends, experience God, and get a decent cup of coffee!

You can expect worship on a Sunday morning to be engaging and accessible, with a mix of old and new songs led by a band of musicians. Our teaching – sermons – usually go through books of the Bible section by section and explore its application to our lives today. Why not arrive before the meeting begins for a chance to meet us, chat, and get settled in - we would love to get to know you.

Children on Sundays

At Grace we value worshipping together as a family -intergenerationally. Therefore do be reassured we don’t mind the noise & movement that come with young families!

We welcome kids of all ages staying in the whole service with us. The services are intentionally accessible for the whole family, including a Bitesize slot, follow-along Companion activity sheets and colouring sheets and a retreat space for fractious little ones.

Additionally, we run two groups during the service for the younger children:
Bible Tots (ages 1 - 3)
Bible Explorers (age 4 - school year 1)

“Rarely have I felt more welcomed and so quickly engaged by interesting, friendly and thoughtful people. I’d encourage anyone to give Grace a go.” Alistair

FAQs for first time visits…

Who should I find if I have any questions?
When you arrive at Grace you will be greeted by our welcome team who will be dotted about the church in “welcome team” lanyards. They’ll be able to help you any time during your visit.

How about buggies and wheelchairs?
There is an entrance ramp at the front of the Addison Centre for easy buggy and wheelchair access.

Where are the toilets?
You will find toilets easily signposted on your way into the Addison Centre. There is a disabled access toilet and plenty of baby-changing facilities.

What can I expect during the service itself?
The service will start with a few songs and the words will be on the big screen for you. If you don’t know the songs, just relax and listen. Most people will stand during any music, but equally, feel free to sit if you wish. Following the first few songs, there will be announcements and then, in the morning service, there is a 'Bitesize' slot which helps everyone to engage with one short Bible truth.

The younger children can then head to their groups which is followed by the day’s preach after which there will be an opportunity to respond to what have you have heard. We’d love to give everyone who attends Grace the chance to be prayed for — though there is no pressure at all. If you would like to be prayed for, you will find a team ready to receive you at the back of the hall. The service leader will point this out and make it really clear for you.

Sometimes you’ll find the format a little different. We assure you that you will not be made to feel embarrassed, asked to speak, identify yourself as new or made to come forward. Services last about 1hr 15mins in length with tea and coffee afterwards.

How long has the church been here and what sort of church is Grace?
Head to the About Grace section will tell you a bit more about our journey to this point.

Our 9.15am & 6pm services are also live-streamed on our YouTube channel

(Handy if you want to re-listen or what to get a feel for what the services are like!)

How do I get more involved?

We endeavour to meet everybody who is new, but if you plan to keep coming back, it would help us a lot if you would make yourself known to us by filling in form on this page or completing a ‘just visiting’ card on a Sunday. The form asks for your email address so that we can send you our weekly newsletter. But don’t worry, we won’t spam you or pass on your info to anyone else!

Need more info on something?
Please feel free to contact us any time.
